AGSA will endeavour to facilitate contact with another family/individual affected by the same, or similar condition, and/or provide information about an overseas support group. AGSA has been Making the Right Connections since l988. AGSA also deals with enquiries and facilitates ongoing support for individuals, families, health professionals and other interested groups. AGSA's Filling the Void Project supports people living in isolation who are caring for someone with a genetic condition.

AGSA's Annual Information Day - The Journey: Familial aspects of breast cancer (BRCA1/2 and unknown gene faults is held the second week in October and it continues to grow supporting many people. AGSA is a member of the NSW Genetics Advisory Committee, NSW Newborn Screening Committee, NSW Register of Congenital Conditions, Northern Hospitals Network POWH/SHSEH & CHS Incident & Complaint Review Committee,Prince of Wales Hospital & Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital Consumer Advisory Committee, the International Genetic Alliance (IGA) and the World Organisation for the Prevention of Birth Defects (WAO).
